Proposed Newcastle West and Abbeyfeale Bypass

We offer you advice
on the Proposed Bypass

Residents, business owners and landowners round and about Newcastle West and Abbeyfeale have in recent times been advised by Limerick City and County Council that a route to the north of the town has finally been settled. The Newcastle West route will start at Ballyfrawley and pass through several townlands including Dually, Killoughteen, The Old Mill and Churchtown before joining the N21 main Killarney Road just west of the Killarney Pole.

This is a project that will drastically alter the landscape around or about Newcastle West and Abbeyfeale and will also have an effect on the towns. Lands previously unavailable for planning will now be capable of being developed with consequential sharp increase in value. Farms severed by the bypass will be very severely affected and, in those cases, landowners' rights will need to be protected.

Some dwelling houses and other buildings may need to be demolished and in some cases the householders and their families will need expert guidance to ensure that their interests are fully protected at all times and that a replacement house, if such is provided, will be suitable for their needs and any compensation payable will be adequate.

We in Martin Tynan O'Donovan Solicitors have access to highly competent engineers, agricultural advisors, economists and barristers etc.  whom we can call upon to advise our clients on complex manners such as this.
